Steinbeis at the 17th Global Supply Chain & Logistics Summit in Dubai:
Spotlight on Innovations and Emerging Trends
Dubai, 07.11.2024
A Premier Platform for Industry Leaders
The annually held Global Supply Chain & Logistics Summit in Dubai has established itself as a leading platform for thought leaders in the supply chain and logistics sector. Attracting professionals from the Middle East, the Asian subcontinent, Turkey, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Africa, the summit serves as a vital crossroads between East and West. This year, Steinbeis team Jürgen Raizner and Roxana Boboruta participated for the third time.
The 2024 summit focused on addressing the challenges posed by geopolitical disruptions and enhancing the resilience of global supply chains.
The comprehensive agenda covered high-level topics such as the transformation of supply chains through AI and machine learning, process optimization using data networks, and the application of emerging technologies in the fast-moving consumer goods sector. Additional key areas of discussion included transportation trends through 2030 and the future of autonomous logistics systems.
In his keynote, Jürgen Raizner highlighted that companies actively involved in technology development gain a decisive edge over mere technology adopters.
The United Arab Emirates as a Bridge Between East and West: Pioneering Pathways with Our STZ
Steinbeis Romania and its affiliated Transfer Center in Germany are intensifying their efforts in the United Arab Emirates to meet the growing demand for services that promote collaboration between East and West. Logistics companies from the Emirates, in particular, are increasingly seeking access to the European market, with Romania playing a pivotal role as a gateway to the European Union.
Looking ahead to 2025, Steinbeis Transfer Management plans to host a high-level delegation from Dubai in Romania. The goal is to design a tailored program that facilitates market entry into Europe while unlocking new business opportunities for participants.
In addition, our Steinbeis group is advancing initiatives to foster technology transfer in the United Arab Emirates. While the focus has traditionally been on acquiring cutting-edge technologies, local companies are now being actively involved in developing groundbreaking innovations. This shift provides a decisive competitive edge over those who merely rely on existing technologies.
